I was raised in a dysfunctional and broken home. From the age of five, I remember a childhood filled with uncertainty, abuse, alcoholism, and neglect. As a child, I spent time dreaming about my life being different. I would fantasize about having that normal family and always longed for the love of a father.
This lack led to me walking in rebellion for many years. I would do anything I could to try to find that love that I did not receive as a child. I experimented with anything that would mask the pain, which led to further hurt and disappointment. Drugs, alcohol, sex, etc… you name it, I probably tried it. Life was an absolute wreck and I went from one bad choice to the next trying to escape from the pain.
I ended up in many toxic relationships with men who mirrored similar characteristics to my own father. I had six beautiful children throughout those years who unfortunately had to walk-through the consequences of my brokenness.
I’ve always felt one of my deepest desires is to serve women who have come out of situations involving sexual abuse and human trafficking. In 2020, I felt a calling from the Lord to move to the Nashville area, seeking connections and training related to anti-human trafficking. Over the last three years, I’ve had the privilege of working with multiple organizations and gaining a deeper understanding of the survivors’ stories. I must say, the most impactful training I’ve received has come from the women who have sat in my salon chair.
Since then, the calling to help has only grown deeper. That’s why Living Hope was created. Living Hope is a ministry to the incredible women who have endured through trauma that no one should. It’s a refuge of hope, healing, freedom, and creating a path forward.
I’m looking forward to this journey and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these amazing women.
I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and was provided numerous opportunities for growth and adventure in my relationship with the Lord. I came into greater understanding and depth of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit during my college years as I desired truth in the supernatural gifts of Jesus. That journey led me to meeting my husband to whom I have been married to for 24 years and the Lord has blessed us with four amazing children. We have been passionate about the mountain of family! Our desire to raise a godly, spirit-filled family has been our number one priority!
From a young age I have been passionate about working with children. My college degree was in education and after graduating I spent 6 years teaching middle school and high school before staying home to raise our own family. I have been blessed with the opportunity to homeschool our children and to train them in the things of the Holy Spirit. There is no greater joy than helping and seeing them walk into their God-given destinies! We desire that every family walk in their kingdom identity, power, and purpose while understanding their weapons of warfare in defeating every scheme of the enemy!
In addition to raising a strong, kingdom family and awakening other families to their call and purpose in the kingdom, I am passionate about the power of displaying His love to each person I encounter. The Lord has allowed me to do this while leading various study and home groups, mentoring and discipleship of youth and young adults, serving on prophetic teams, and sharing the love of Jesus through creative means outside the four walls of the church. Walking people into greater freedom in Christ through encouragement, inner healing, and deliverance ministry has been another valuable tool in accomplishing the mission of being His hands and feet.
